Ayr Players named to Silver Stick All-Star team Ayr players William Lochner (D), Nathan Tomaz (F), and Josh Woznica (F) (in red, left to right) were named to the International Silver Stick Bantam B Finals All-Star Team by an independent selection committee, chosen from out of well over 100 players that participated in this prestigious tournament.

Ayr Flames Win North American International Silver Stick Bantam B Championship The Ayr Bantam Rep team competed against qualifying teams from all over North America at the International Silver Stick Finals in Forest, Ontario on January 27-29, 2012. In the round robin section, Ayr beat the Tampa Bay Raiders 9-0, dropped a 3-0 game to the Listowel Cyclones, and then beat the Richmond-West Carleton (Ottawa) Crusaders 4-2, to be seeded second overall for the elimination section of the tournament. In dramatic fashion, they beat the Wasaga Beach Stars 3-1 in the semi-finals, before edging the Strathroy Rockets 2-0 in the finals. A tradition of over 50 years, all winners of the Silver Stick Finals are listed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Ayr Bantam Rep - Finalists in Watford Regional Silver Stick Tournament, January 5-8, 2012 The Bantam Rep team opened the new year with a 2-0 win over Strathroy and 2-1 overtime loss to Mount Brydges in the Silver Stick qualifying tournament being held in Watford this past weekend. Following these round robin games, Ayr then won 4-2 over Dunnville in the quarter finals and 1-0 over Mount Brydges in the semi finals, before succumbing to Strathroy 2-0 in the tournament final. Goaltender Owen Wing was named Ayr's tournament MVP. Despite the loss in the finals, Ayr secured an invitation to the International Silver Stick Finals in Forest, Ontario later this month.
